International Baccalaureate

The International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma may be used to gain admission to UVic. You will be eligible to receive up to 15.0 units of transfer credit for completion of the IB Diploma.

  • If you are currently working toward the IB Diploma, arrange for your school to send predicted IB marks to us.
  • If you have completed the IB Diploma, please order two official transcripts from the IB Organization to be sent directly to Undergraduate Admissions.

If you have completed Higher Level IB courses, regardless of whether or not you obtained the diploma, you may be eligible for 3.0 units of transfer credit per subject. Please see the International Baccalaureate Transfer page of the BC Transfer Guide for details about how individual IB courses transfer to UVic.

See the International Baccalaureate page for more information about admission requirements.
